Colton Hall Museum Interpretive Plan
In 2013, the City of Monterey, California, contracted with Erin to develop an Interpretive Plan for Colton Hall Museum. The project included assessing the Museum’s current audiences and interpretation and making recommendations to help it grow and thrive in the community. The final report included:
- a review of the Museum’s current visitors and recommendations for how to reach underserved audiences
- development of interpretive themes, subthemes and learning points
- recommendations to improve collections care and management
- budget-friendly strategies to engage the public with improved programming, outreach and exhibits
- a comprehensive implementation plan with estimated budgets, man hours and relative priorities
