Valenzuela Preservation Studio teamed with Erin to develop an interpretive master plan for La Bajada Mesa. This protected cultural landscape is owned by the US Forest Service, and the project is administered by the National Park Service. Located 18 miles south of Santa Fe, New Mexico, La Bajada is a landscape with a long history. Petroglyphs indicate that native people occupied the area, and both the El Camino Real de Tierra Adentro and historic Route 66 traversed it. The project began in Fall 2014, and after a year-long planning and consultation process with multiple stakeholder groups, it is scheduled for completion in October 2015.
